I am a Postgraduate Research Student in Philosophy at the University of Southampton (primary institution) and the University of Bristol (secondary institution). I have interests in Metaphysics, Philosophy of Mind and Philosophy of Science.
My PhD, supervised by Dr Naomi Thompson and Dr Will Mcneill, investigates non-standard formulations of physicalism that reject the metaphysical supervenience of the mental on the physical. I am funded by the South, West, and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership (AHRC).
I completed my BA and MPhil at Girton College, University of Cambridge. My undergraduate thesis, supervised by Dr Matt Farr, was entitled "The Everett Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics and the Incoherence Problem". My MPhil thesis, supervised by Dr Tim Button, investigated the relationship between ground physicalism and the causal exclusion problem.
I have a strong interest in widening participation and was the Schools Liaison Officer for Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge (2020-21). I continue to work for Corpus Christi College as their Outreach and Access Consultant.
